The main benefits of joining our branch are those associated with being part of an active club. Whilst diver training is an important part of what we do, we are not a commercial training agency. The more you put into the branch, the more you will get out of it. If you are only interested in getting a diving qualification so that you can dive on your holidays, the branch system is probably not for you.

We do recommend that you learn before going on holiday but the quickest and simplest way to do so is through a BSAC training centre. If you get hooked you are always welcome to come along and join us at a later date to continue your training and take advantage of all that the club scene has to offer.
