Founded in 1957 and based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, our club is run by its members for its members, to provide an environment where people can meet to go scuba diving. We are also Branch No. 217 of the British Sub-Aqua Club, the governing body for underwater sport and recreational aqualung users in the UK.
“If you have never dived before, we can offer try-dives in our local swimming pool with one of our BSAC qualified instructors.”
We offer training recognised around the world, starting with the entry-level course of BSAC Ocean Diver. If you have a diving qualification from another organisation, that’s usually not a problem: BSAC recognise many other qualifications as similar to theirs, so you can still join the branch and dive with us.
“If you want to further your training, you can convert over to the BSAC scheme with ease and progress right through to technical diving including twinset, rebreathers and trimix!”
Throughout the year we organise regular days near Leicester and Tamworth at Stoney Cove or Dosthill for those who are ready for open water. This is in addition to the mainly UK south coast diving trips we enjoy.
“Scuba diving in the Midlands isn’t just about jumping into quarries:”
Experienced Divers Welcome
“Learn to Dive and enjoy Scuba diving with our branch of the BSAC, UK’s governing body for underwater sports.”
The branch has loads of knowledge and resources to offer.
We hope to attract both newcomers to the sport as well as more experienced divers and instructors who could contribute to our ongoing training and diving program.
Even if you have only ever dived abroad or have trained with another diving agency, we welcome your existing experience and hope to offer you a reason to join the BSAC and our branch.
We also offer BSAC snorkelling qualifications starting with BSAC Basic Snorkel Diver. Aimed at children and adults alike.
Plymouth, Farne Islands, Sound of Mull, Ireland and the Knoydart in Scotland… we have also organised trips to the Red Sea, Florida, Gibraltar and others.
We like to have some non-diving fun too such as our annual dinner and dance, quiz evenings, barbecues, or nights on the town.
